- Wine Critic Review: "High in color, tannin, and extract, Cabernet Sauvignon expresses notes of blackberry, cassis, plum, currant, spice, and tobacco. In Bordeaux and elsewhere in the Old World you'll find the more earthy, tannic side of Cabernet, where it is typically blended to soften tannins and add complexity. - My Review: The wine was dark red in color and had a deeply sweet and fruity scent. The wine tasted bold and sweet and had notes reminiscent of red stone fruit. The taste of tannin and spices lingered on the palate. I could taste that this wine lacked the depth of flavor and smoothness of a higher priced wine of the same variety.
- I did not have the wine with any food, but I did drink a whiskey and ginger ale before drinking a few glasses of this wine. The sweetness on my palate made the wine taste a bit sharp on the first sip, but this went away as I continued to drink the wine.
