Tasting - "Beringer Main & Vine White Zinfandel"

Tasting - "Beringer Main & Vine White Zinfandel"

  • Name: Beringer Main & Vine White Zinfandel
  • Variety: White Zinfandel
  • Region: Napa Valley
  • Country: California, USA
  • Year: Non-vintage
  • Price: $6
  • Wine Critic Review: "In making Beringer's White Zinfandel, the focus is to highlight the fresh red berry, citrus and melon aromas and flavors, and round them out with subtle hints of nutmeg and clove." (https://www.mainandvinewine.com/en-us/our-wines/all-wines/white-zinfandel)
  • My Review: This wine was lovely. It was light and crist and had notes of sweet strawberry. It wasn't cloyingly sweet, however, and was well balanced.
  • I drank this wine with some pasta I made. It was penne pasta with marinara sauce cooked with spinach, zucchini, and italian sausage. The wine was a little sweet than I would like to go with dinner, but it actually complimented the dish quite well. The sweetness in the wine paired well with the acidic tomato sauce and the spicy italian sausage.
